The City of Knowledge Islamic School is focused on combining excellent education with Islamic teachings in a unique learning and interacting environment.
Under the supervision of an education committee led by experienced teachers in the state of Georgia as well as professors from Emory University and Georgia Tech, all resources are used to make sure that The City of Knowledge provides an education level at a comparable, or even higher, level than the best private schools in the state of Georgia.
DDid you know that you can fund scholarships for DCS students, and the state of Georgia will award you a tax credit for the same amount? We all have to pay state taxes anyway, so why not participate in the Qualified Education Expense (QEE) Tax Credit program and benefit yourself and City of Knowledge Islamic School. We have partnered with Wisdom Education Scholarships to process our QEE donations and distribution of scholarships.
A ll CK families, friends, and local businesses who pay taxes in Georgia should reserve your QEE tax credit by Dec. 31, 2024. You don’t have to pay anything prior to Dec. 31, all you have to do is “reserve” the tax credit and choose “City of Knowledge Islamic School” on the application. You will have time to determine the actual amount you want to contribute by March 2025. And then, when you file your 2025 state taxes, you will get all your money back as a tax credit (plus you can claim a deduction on your federal tax filing), so it really costs you nothing in the long run. If you are a business owner, please reserve your tax credit through your business to gain the maximum benefit.
Scholarship Amounts: Each month that we receive a donation for City of Knowledge Islamic School, your student will receive and equal share of the scholarship funds. For example, if we receive $10,000 in March for City of Knowledge Islamic School and there are 10 approved students, then each approved student at City of Knowledge Islamic School will receive a $1,000 scholarship at the end of March.
What are the maximum tax credit limits, per filing status?
What's in it for me?
If you are a parent of a child to receive scholarship and also a donor to utilize QEE tax credit then:
The Scholarship Process: It's pretty easy, and will last for the entire school year.
